LA HAWKS FC


Known timeline of events.

1986 LA Hawks FC was formed by a small group of Japanese parents that wanted a place for their children to practice soccer.
Participated in JASA cup.
Practices were held at a local park.
2 Divisions 1 - 3, 4 - 6 th graders maybe 30 kids total

???? Wada becomes president.
Group of 3 moms were the acting leaders of the club.

2006 Gen becomes president.
Temple City HS Arcadia softball team lent us field to practice.
Established NPO, around 50 kids. Implementation of voting system to select the board members

2011 River Cup Starts at Rio Park in Los Angeles. The name River cup come from the fact that the park was next to LA River.
Anahauk league provided the usage of the turf field to LA Hawks. U15 match was also held at a near by Washington middle school.

2014 Current logo was designed

2015 Rivercup moves to Arcadia High School

2017 Written rules about the club management and membership requirements were established.

2018 Kanemoto becomes president

2023 Oiwa becomes president
